Nationally Mandated Testing

National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), grade 4.

State Mandated Testing

California's new student assessment system is now known as California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). The CAASPP System replaces the Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program. The primary purpose of CAASPP is to assist teachers, administrators, and pupils and their parents by promoting high-quality teaching and learning through the use of a variety of assessment approaches and item types. The results are used to report the school's Academic Performance Index (API). California English Language Development Test (CELDT) monitors the progress of English learners. Grades K-5. FITNESSGRAM: Physical Fitness Test for grade 5.

District Mandated Testing

Literacy benchmark exams are district-developed, standards-based assessments for students in Grades 1-8. Mathematics benchmark exams are district-developed, standards-based assessments for students in Grades 1-7. Writing and Reading Assessment Profile (WRAP): Grades K-2.

Special Education Testing

If parents suspect their child has a disability, and the disability has a negative impact on academic performance, parents may request an evaluation to determine if their child qualifies for special education services. The IST (Instructional Study Team) will meet with the parent (s)/guardian to determine the appropriateness of the request.
